Avenue , Manila at 7 o’clock in the evening.

Messiah is the UP Manila Chorale’s homage to a beloved UP tradition and their contribution to the continuing celebration of the UP Centennial. Featuring Handel’s “Messiah.”, widely known for the “Hallelujah” Chorus, it is more than a showcase of well-loved Christmas choruses and carols, but a gathering of families and friends alike, in gleeful celebration of the Savior’s birth.

To celebrate their recent achievements during their 5th European Tour 2009, the UP Manila Chorale will have a homecoming concert entitled “Pamamalik ’09” on July 17, 2009 at 7 p.m. The concert will take place at UCCP-Cosmopolitan Church along Taft Avenue, in front of Philippine General Hospital. “Pamamalik ‘09” will be a rerun of their well-loved performances in Europe. The concert will also be a showcase of new additions to the UPMC’s wide repertoire.

The 19-member entourage of UP Manila Chorale (UPMC) successfully concluded their 5th European Tour 2009 by being named Category Winner for the Youth Choirs with Mixed Voices Category at the 2nd International Anton Bruckner Choir Competition and Festival. The UPMC received a Gold II Diplom for the category and was one of the top seven competing choirs.

In Bad Ischl, Austria, the UP Manila Chorale also received a Silver Diplom in the Folk Category and another Silver Diplom for the Mixed Youth Choirs Category in the 9th International Choir Co...
